Since 2014, Chalaka Plywood Manufacturers has turned carefully selected logs into strong, flat and dependable panels. Every sheet is peeled, dried, graded and pressed by a team that takes pride in the details.

Sustainability
Our timber comes from managed plantations where trees are replanted after harvest. Rotary peeling extracts the maximum veneer from every log, and offcuts are reused as fuel and core material, so very little goes to waste.

How it’s made
Every board starts with the right tree. We select straight, sound logs from responsibly managed plantations.
On the lathe, each log turns against a long blade, unrolling a continuous sheet of veneer.
Skilled hands grade each veneer, repairing splits and knots so only sound sheets reach the press.
Veneers are stacked with alternating grain direction, then pre-pressed to form a stable panel.
Boards are squared to size and sanded to a smooth, calibrated thickness.
